These images were taken in late 2018 in the Scottish Highlands, St. Andrews, and at Stowe Gardens near Oxford. The weather in the Highlands was mostly rainy and overcast. The use of HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging helped me to bring up the contrast of the images in Lightroom and Photoshop without the introduction of additional noise. The lighting would change significantly not only from day to day (the two first pictures from Queens's View) but often from minute to minute as bands of rain clouds would sweep over the countryside. Most of the snow you can see on the mountains was quite fresh.

Stowe House and Gardens were for a couple of hundred years the estate and country home of the Temple-Grenville family in Buckinghamshire, England. It is now a National Trust property and home to the Stowe School, an English public (i.e. "private") boarding school.

These are my first images with Nikon Z7 mirrorless cameras, the Z-series 24-70mm f/4.0 zoom, and the FTZ adaptor that allows use of F-series lenses on the Z bodies.
